Job Description - Duty Office Manager

***This role includes a rota basis over 4 days on and 4 days off***Do you have experience in a Travel Duty Office Manager role or similar? As a Duty Office Manager , you will provide operational support to our Co-op Holidays customers by monitoring FCDO advice, worldwide events, and alerts/notifications from trade partners, 24/7, 365 days a year. You will be proactive in running destination reports to identify any bookings affected and communicating updates to our customers, agents, and management team, offering support to customers and agents for any in-resort issues or emergency situations. In this role, you will: 
• Continuously monitor world events; assessing the impact to our business and customers 
• Assist both customers and our Travel Agent partners with any in resort issues, offering solutions when things do not go to plan during their holiday 
• Manage travel disruptions, making amendments to complex itineraries with multiple flight, hotel and other components during travel
• Communicate operational changes on booking to our customers and travel agent partners prior to departure
• Assist in developing and implementing out of hours and emergency and crisis procedures, constantly reviewing, and suggesting improvements and changes 

Who are we looking for?

To be successful, you will: 

• Have a background in a similar travel-based role
• Have GDS experience (preferable) – with knowledge on how to obtain best possible flight options/fairs and re-ticket 
• Be familiar with hotel room rates, availability and contracts 
• Have experience of and able to work unusual hours/out of hours support (24/7 on a rotating shift pattern)
