Job Description - Inside Sales Manager

Main Responsibilities
  • Ensure that all sales enquiries within the team are dealt with within 2 hours in a prompt, efficient and friendly manner and to ensure that all aspects of company policy relating to contracts, terms and conditions, yield management and payments are met
  • Ensure all of the responses via telephone and email are adhered to the BDRC standards, making sure 94% target achieved on test enquiries
  • Identify opportunities to maximise sales and upsell, suggest and implement improvements to achieve that
  • Ensure all team has in-depth knowledge of our facilities and offering  
  • Ensure all team carries out site inspections with the customers to the highest possible standards, assisting with the site visits to Head of Weddings where possible
  • Ensure all provisional bookings are proactively chased by phone
  • Conducting regular conversion days/conversion blitzes concentrating on key bookings and need months   
  • Manage the central sales inbox, delegating workload to the team and managing time
  • Assisting with other sales inboxes where possible, e.g. Christmas & Wedding
  • Ensure the team develops a good relationship with clients to maximise repeat business
  • Provide weekly reports with the commentary/update on the largest enquiries & site visits
  • Report on prospect business concentrating on key bookings and need months
  • Ensure the team being the role model in taking phone enquiries
  • Ensure all the information on the bookings handed over to the event planners is correct
  • Ensure the team understands our competitor set, rates and inclusions (SWOT analysis)
  • Ensure our external providers to receive quotes on behalf of the client in relation to outdoor activities and entertainment, transport and any other service required
  • Be responsible for the data inputted into V1 ensuring all data is relevant and to the C&E Office standards
  • Responsible for the training of the Sales Executive team ensuring refresher training is given and ad hoc training when changes are made.
  • Be aware of the industry standards through bodies we are attached to and research.
  • Liaise with Conference and Events Sales Office Manager to ensure best diary management practice in place and revenue maximisation through converting business
  • Achieve targets and objectives set by the Conference and Events Sales Office Manager
  • Ensure the best practice of the enquiry handling process, liaising with the Conference and Events Sales Office Manager to make sure improvements are in place where needed
  • Support the Conference and Events Sales Office Manager on new initiatives and any ad hoc areas which he/she requires to drive sales
  • Liaise with Pro-active Sales team to ensure best diary management practice in place and revenue maximisation through converting business
  • Build the relationship with the Sales Pro-active team
  • Exploring the possibilities of new proposals being created and innovative ways of advertising our product and facilities in order to maximise conversion
  • Engaging in social media initiatives to attract the wider audience of potential customers
  • Lead on the ‘Your Welcome’ initiative ensuring the customer journey is in line with Whittlebury Parks vision
  • Recruiting and onboarding new sales colleagues to the expected level of company SOPs
  • Producing relevant sales performance & conversion reports as requested by C&E Sales Office Manager and/or Commercial Manager/Director
  • To lead & manage newly created telemarketing team, creating weekly reports to support the activities they are doing
  • To be an expert in diary management of Whittlebury Park and lead on making the business decision in order to maximise the revenue 

Your background

  • A keen attitude to go beyond expectations and deliver exceptional customer service
  • Ability to work in a pressurised sales environment with good problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail to ensure all information is accurately entered into the system
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills 

Salary

£29,000 - £31,000 per annum dependent on experience.
