Activity & Resource Support Worker
Salary: £10.52 per hour + Benefits
Location:Heather House, Tadley
Hours: Up to 37.5 hours per week. Part-time position available also.
Who will you be supporting?
Heather House provides support for young adults with a range of disabilities. We specialise in supporting and assisting people with sight loss and offer individual personalised support in our Nursing Home throughout the Tadley area. We aim to excel as a specialist provider of quality care and support, ensuring the people we support are at the heart of everything we do.
We provide support to 15 young people, 10 ladies and 5 gentlemen who are determined to live life to the full. No two days are the same, our individuals enjoy going out shopping, for dinner, swimming, gym and they even have individual music lessons with our service tutor.
Our homes each have their own welcoming and experienced team of Support Workers, Deputy’s and Managers who will assist you in your journey and help your professional development.
About You
By joining us at Heather house, part of SeeAbility, you will be able to help the people we support live an extraordinary life.
You will predominantly deliver/facilitate sessions on a 1:1 or group basis, working alongside other team members and under the guidance of the Activity and Resource Co-ordinator. You will be supporting people to do activities they like and also exploring new activities that they may also enjoy, but at the same time maintaining existing skills.
Some of the activities we offer are:
Cookery, Gardening (seasonal), Arts and Crafts, Interactive, Music, pamper sessions and out & about.
You will have an enthusiastic and passionate approach to ensure a lively and varied programme is offered and that individuals are enabled to participate as fully as possible.
