Job Description - Band d Associate Director of HR

A significant and exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and dynamic HR professional to play a major leadership role in our ambition to become a Great Place to Work. The postholder reporting to the Chief People Officer will be responsible for developing and leading the provision of a strategic, professional and business focussed Human Resources service to the organisation. This senior role will deputise for the Chief People Officer across a broad range of the Executive portfolio, both internally and externally and will lead on all employee relations matters. Applicants must be CIPD qualified and hold a Master’s Degree or equivalent professional experience. A successful candidate must be able to demonstrate significant experience of delivering effective HR Services within a complex organisation and be equipped to manage the most complex of employee relations issues. Please note interviews will take place on 2nd, 9th and 11th July 2024· Consistent “Best Practice” Human Resources operational practices for and on behalf of the Trust. · Provide lead professional and strategic HR advice and manage and develop the Strategic and OperationalHuman Resourcesservice providing direction and support to theHuman ResourcesBusiness Partners and acting as a source of specialist knowledge on professional issues.
· Provide information and expert advice and support to Directorates and Divisions across the organisation in order to facilitate the development and management of staff and the modernisation of services, ensuring that they are consistent with national Best Practice initiatives and legislation and agreed local and nationalHuman Resources, Workforce Planning and Workforce Development strategies. · Provide guidance, leadership, training and coaching to and develop skills and competencies of theHuman Resourcesteam to ensure the consistent delivery of a high quality service through the provision of professional updates and information. · Evaluate and inform the Trust wideHuman Resourcesteam about the latest research and developments in employee relations, pay and conditions of service, employment law, workforce development and training.
