Do you have an interest in medical humanities? Do you want to be part of a dynamic, motivated team and support the delivery of an ambitious interdisciplinary project and a special exhibition exploring the histories and cultures of blood donation? Can you develop and deliver an effective digital engagement strategy to raise the profile of our collective research findings? You will join the School of Languages, Cultures, and Societies , one of the largest and most diverse Schools of its kind in the UK, as part of a team working on the AHRC-funded project, Hematopolitics that explores the relationship between blood donation and social identities. It seeks to trace what blood means and how blood donation relates to senses of belonging and exclusion across different sociocultural and historical contexts. In the coming academic year of 2024/25, the project will deliver various ambitious impact activities, including a six-month special exhibition at the Thackray Museum of Medicine, community co-production and engagement events, public lectures, an international symposium, educational materials and activities for children. A creative, experienced researcher, you will develop and manage our digital engagement strategy and expand our international research network. You will work across multiple channels to increase the impact and profile of our research. You will proactively develop and maintain excellent working relationships with our stakeholders and collaborators, and will co-ordinate publications, events, and meetings. You will co-produce research outcomes and educational materials and will promote research findings and activities to key audiences in different sectors.
