Corporate Sector Finance and Business Management (CS F&BM) teams are led by Chief Financial Officers that support their respective Corporate Sector functions through various reporting and controls-related initiatives, as well as traditional finance activities such as budgeting, forecasts and expense tracking. The teams serve as central points of contacts for their respective internal clients.
As the ex-UK EMEA Human Resources (HR) Business Manager (BM) you will have two main areas of focus: you will be responsible for providing business management support for the ex-UK countries in EMEA; and you will also support the EMEA HR Business Manager in delivering key strategic priorities across the region. The successful candidate will report to the EMEA HR BM, and be part of the Global HR Finance & Business Management (F&BM) team. The role is dynamic and wide-ranging.
Job responsibilities
- Provides business management support for the ex-UK EMEA Country Heads across the 30+ countries in the region
- Acts as trusted advisor to the ex-UK EMEA Country Heads in all aspects of the function: strategy, controls, people and financial performance
- Manages the ex-UK EMEA Country Heads routines (agenda, priority setting, strategy planning sessions etc) including the annual Country Heads offsite
- Is the key point of contact to help identify, achieve and communicate business objectives and opportunities
- Gets involved in (and/or leading) new projects as needed; hosts regular meetings with key stakeholders to discuss upcoming deliverables/projects and ensures adequate management of resources
- Oversees the planning, tracking & reporting for both T&E spend and headcount/hiring across the Europe Region HR function
- Supports the EMEA HR Business Manager in delivering key strategic priorities across the region
- Project manages the annual / bi-annual Country Reviews and Country model for the EMEA region including utilizing analytical skills to gather and review data, identify trends and produce summary documents
- Prepares regional HR board and committee submissions, and periodic function performance presentations
- Isa key partner to the EMEA HR Engagement team with focus on team building, team engagement, communications and networking across the function
- Provides a high level of responsiveness to ad-hoc requests in support of the EMEA HR function
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Strong organizational, project and time management skills
- Ability to demonstrate flexibility, prioritization of requests and multi-task in the face of ever-changing and sometimes conflicting demands
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated and effective under pressure
- Strong analytical and numeric skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral, and ability to build relationships and influence others, across multiple disciplines and across levels of seniority
- Ability to work well individually and partner effectively within a team
- Pro-active and problem-solving mindset with ability to identify, clearly present and implement solutions
- A thorough understanding and appreciation of risks and controls
- Disciplined approach to managing processes and controls with a view to continuous improvement
- Strong PowerPoint / PitchPro and Excel (including pivot tables)
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Previous Business Management or Human Resources experience
- Data visualization (e.g. Tableau) and automation skills (e.g. Alteryx)
