The opportunity

We are looking to appoint an experienced and skilled individual  to join our Human Resources Team. The position is for a fixed term , providing maternity cover from October 2024 until April 2025.

As HR Assistant, you will be responsible for the following:  

  • Leaver processes 
  • Maintenance of the staff electronic personnel files. 
  • Maintenance of the College’s Single Central Record. 
  • Liaising with PRO Company and the HR Advisor with responsibility for immigration and on-boarding for immigration issues.
  • Issuing DC contracts and/or contract annual renewal letters  
  • Covering other members of staff as required 
  • Answer general HR enquiries
  • Promote the use of e-government services and Metrash2 for all staff
  • Ensure confidentiality of all HR personnel related information at all times

This is a non-sponsored position and only candidates with family sponsorship currently residing in Qatar will be considered. The position will be based at our Al Wajba Campus.

About you

This is a busy department with responsible roles and therefore the ability to be flexible and resilient is essential. Attention to detail and accuracy is key and you should be approachable, friendly and keen to assist. It is also essential that you are a good communicator both verbally and in writing.  

The successful candidate will be working in a friendly and supportive team and will be responsible for providing HR related services to Doha College staff. Experience of working in an HR environment is essential and experience of immigration would be an advantage.  

We are a British international school and all of our lessons are taught in English, therefore a high standard of written and spoken English is essential for all positions.
