Job Description - Human Resources Advisor

Human Resources Advisor (30k) (Newly Created Role)

Vickerstock is delighted to be working in partnership once again with an exponentially growing, highly-accredited and long-established SME manufacturing organization that is seeking a Talented HR Professional to provide HR Generalist Support. This is a fantastic opportunity for an HR Professional to progress within their career and gain experience in all HR Generalist duties while availing of a highly competitive pay and benefits package.

What will you do as the HR Advisor?

  1. Managing the full recruitment process: devising job descriptions, posting job adverts, shortlisting, scheduling interviews, conducting interviews, providing job offers, issuing contracts, and conducting pre-employment checks (e.g., Access NI checks).
  2. Revising the current employee handbook of HR policies and procedures to comply with current legislation.
  3. Responsible for identifying training needs, completing manager training, and organizing job-specific training.
  4. Liaising with the company accountant to process payroll: calculating employee pay rates (considering holidays, sickness absence, and promotions).
  5. Managing the onboarding process for new employees: completing onsite tours, notifying payroll, and running through the employee handbook.
  6. Assisting with employee relations cases when required (e.g., investigations for disciplinaries and grievances).
  7. Completing all other HR Administrative duties when required.

What will you receive as the HR Advisor?

As the HR Advisor, you will receive a highly competitive pay and benefits package:

What will you require as the HR Advisor?

  • Previous experience as an HR Generalist with a minimum of 3 years
  • Managing the full recruitment process
  • Proficient in revising HR policies and procedures
  • Skilled in identifying training needs, organizing and providing training
  • Experienced in completing HR Administration duties, leading onboarding processes, and liaising with payroll
