Job Summary
The Logistics Line Assistant will be responsible for walking the production lines (sometimes with production administrators) and checking and reviewing of all materials. PDA scanning missing items where and when required Evaluating and scanning bigger items that cannot be stored on the line itself, in line with Takt time and the production plan, ensures no stoppages in production. Raising and reporting of key KPI measures to the management team.
Arranging two meetings per week with the production administrator: during the meeting, inspect the production line, locate materials, prepare the assembly line layout, and discuss any issues with QR codes.
Daily meeting with the warehouse team leader and conditioning lead. The main purpose of the meeting is to discuss any issues relating to the incorrect conditioning or location of materials from the previous meeting and or any changes or improvements made related to the conditioning or location of parts.
Supporting the Warehouse Team Leader in the smooth running of the warehouse ensuring parts are received in a timely manner through to picking for production. Awareness and adherence to the company Health and Safety polices. Ensuring stock accuracy and material transactions are completed.
IOSH qualification or equivalent Health & Safety qualification.
Current First Aid at Work qualification.
You will have good team working skills with the ability to develop working relationships quickly and effectively and have the desire to develop existing skills and acquire new technical competencies to enhance personal and team capability.
