Logistics Coordinator

Protea Recruitment is working with a Food Manufacturer based near Bellshill, who is looking for a Planning & Logistics Coordinator to join their team. Responsible for production planning, raw material and packaging ordering and some logistics, this role is critical to the smooth operation of the business. Clerical tasks, including processing and recording orders, preparing reports, fielding communications with clients and vendors, fact-checking, filing, and other duties, as needed. In addition to this, there will be an element of general office administration required for this role. Job Title: Planning & Logistics Coordinator Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday Previous experience in a Planning / Logistics role

• NVQ/SVQ in Customer Service, Levels 1 - 4; (NVQ/SVQ in Business and Administration, Levels 1-4; (Knowledgeable on all Microsoft Packages including Word, Excel and Outlook; (Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with preferred experience in Business Central.
• Full rights to work in the UK are essential as sponsorship is not available.

Ordering of all raw materials and packaging, stock replenishment and holding in a timely manner

• Liaison with suppliers abroad, customs and brokers to arrange shipments of raw materials and packaging.
• Responsible for managing all deliveries end to end and liaising with despatch and production on status.
• Responsible for arranging all transport, managing customer relations with transport companies and dealing with all queries or issues.
• Carry out monthly stock takes for raw materials and packaging.
• Other general ad-hoc roles, including greeting all visitors to the site in a professional & friendly manner;
