Purpose of the Role:
Overseeing all logistical activities of the company, ensuring the business is supported and capable of providing competitive options to clients around the globe.
Roles and Responsibilities:
· Support the business with all freight forwarding movements locally and internationally.
· Manage logistics operations of the USA, UAE and Norway entities including clearances into USA and UAE.
· Ensure the companies storage yards globally are coordinated, and storage fees paid.
· Working closely with haulers and forwarders for Out of Gauge (OOG) movements and police notifications.
· Hiring of mobile cranes for mobilisations, yard movements and import returns.
· Work with our external DGSA to ensure annual audits are completed and issues addressed.
· Ensure the companies HMRC EORI information is up to date and documented. MSS Reports reconciled monthly and all CDS entries retained in job folders.
· Compiling and reporting monthly on the companies PVA account for FCG imports with finance team.
· Work closely with sales team to ensure the correct incoterms are agreed at contract stage.
· Communication with clients and their overseas agents prior to shipping to ensure export documentation is approved and ETA can be met.
· Ensure full pre-alerts are sent in a timely manner and give support upon arrival in country as and when necessary.
· Liaise with clients and agents to approve return documentation to ensure smooth clearance back into the UK for all hire equipment and assist in re-export formalities worldwide.
· Close support with Hire Admin team and Yard supervisors to ensure mobilisations are communicated and well organised.
· Support sales and project teams to ensure all quotes are valid and as accurate as possible.
· Help to plan and coordinate drivers on local pick-ups and deliveries.
· Prepare shipping documentation for packing list, COO, Commercial invoice etc.
· Prepare documentation for mobilisation and demobilisations.
· Ensure compliance and check regulations within the logistical network.
· Ensure that all required certification is in place as required.
· Ensure all relevant paperwork is completed in a timely manner.
· Support out of office as required.
· Check, revise and validate documentation
· Ensure electronic & hard copy documentation is stored effectively and concisely.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
ESSENTIAL
· Several years’ experience within the freight industry.
· Previous experience dealing with air/sea/ road freight.
· Competent Knowledge of Incoterms 2020.
· Strong negotiation Skills.
· Experience in UK customs formalities.
· Experience handling / producing transit documentation.
DESIRABLE
· Dangerous Goods certifications Air and Sea.
· Oil and Gas or manufacturing experience of a similar nature.
