Who are we looking for ?

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Coordinator to oversee and manage the transportation, distribution, and delivery of our products. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of logistics operations, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

What will you be doing ?

  • Coordinate and schedule shipments of chemical products to ensure timely delivery to customers while optimizing transportation costs.
  • Communicate with carriers, freight forwarders, and third-party logistics providers to arrange transportation and track shipments.
  • Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained to meet customer demand.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with transportation partners to negotiate rates, contracts, and service agreements.
  • Prepare shipping documentation, including bills of lading, export/import documentation, and customs clearance paperwork.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements for the transportation and handling of chemical products, including safety and environmental regulations.
  • Investigate and resolve any transportation issues, such as delays, damages, or discrepancies in shipments.
  • Analyze logistics data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement efficiency-enhancing initiatives.
  • Provide support to the sales and customer service teams regarding shipment status, delivery updates, and any transportation-related inquiries from customers.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including production, purchasing, and sales teams, to coordinate logistics activities and ensure alignment with business objectives.

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in logistics coordination, preferably in the chemical manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of transportation modes, including trucking, ocean freight, and air freight, as well as customs regulations and international shipping practices.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and systems, such as ERP systems, transportation management systems (TMS), and warehouse management systems (WMS).
