Operations Manager

Pay Rate: £40,000 to £45,000
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Shift patterns: Monday - Friday
Location: Reading Multi User Site (RG2 0BS)

DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking a Operations Manager to play a vital role coordinating our daily logistics requirements. To succeed in this role, you should have a comprehensive knowledge of supply chain management practices and a demonstrative understanding of storage and distribution procedures.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

• Operations Manager for a Multi User Site in Reading.
• Responsible for and effective management of the 24/7 Distribution Centre Transport Department encompassing the Trunking Operations in order to achieve the delivery of a high quality and cost efficient service to our customers
• Management of all processes in line with Company Policy
• Work with team / colleagues to ensure plans, processes and activity are aligned to customer needs
• Work in Calobration with other sites to maximise effieciencies

• Transport Operations Qualification (CPC National and International) is essential
• Experience managing at a Multi User Distribution Centre is desirable
• To be able to showcase experience managing a team is essential
• To be able to showcase experience managing a medium sized operation of over 100+ employees is desirable
