Here at XPO, were looking for a full-time, Maternity Cover contract, Transport Night Shift Manager to join us on 4 on 4 off shift pattern for our Tesco contract based in Widnes. Hours of work will be 19:00-07:00. Youll be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and effective running of our transport function. Pay, benefits and more: Were looking to offer a salary of up to £34,500 per annum. In addition, we offer 20 days holiday, as well as the option to buy additional days. What youll do on a typical day: Supervision and overseeing of the transport function, whilst working closely with the Warehouse Shift Manager, to ensure a smooth running of the business. Managing customer relationships, both indirectly and face to face Managing a team of Shunters to ensure operational requirements are fulfilled. Driving on-site loading efficiency. Lead your team to meeting and exceeding operational objectives, such as service provision, productivity and performance KPIs. Lead, manage and engagethe Transport within a busy FMCG environment. What you need to succeed at XPO: A track record at a supervisory or management level within a complex, fast-paced transport operation Excellent relationship building and communication skills. A strong personality with the ability to effectively manage drivers, push for operational excellence and challenge the status quo. Be part of something big.
