Job Description - Graduate - Manufacturing Engineering

This role involves the development and application of engineering practice and knowledge in the following technologies: Design of mechanical systems, devices, equipment and machines; simulating a wide range of interactions and evaluate performance in real world scenarios; and develop prototype for manufacturability, testing and validation. The candidate will require the skillset of a Manufacturing Engineer to support the client team in sourcing and working with suppliers to reduce incoming non-conformance. Analysis and categorisation of non-conformance data using statistical data analysis.

  • Undertaking root cause problem solving activities, leading to the successful implementation of corrective actions
  • Primary point of contact and able to offer advice on quality assurance matters
  • The candidate shall have working knowledge using Management and Production Systems
  • Complete First Article Inspection (FAI) and Fixed Process Definition (FPD)
  • The candidate shall have a wide breadth of experience in manufacturing, material lab approvals and associated knowledge in the control of change processes, including experience of workload management. Experience and an understanding of machining, joining and inspection processes of complex aerospace products is necessary to enable detail investigation of the methods of manufacture and design definition.
We are looking for an entry level graduate with limited commercial and technical work experience. Understanding and application of lean manufacturing techniques and processes.
  • Good understanding of manufacturing processes including, turning, milling, grinding, EDM, welding, shot peening and polishing.
  • Working knowledge of systems including SAP, NX, CAPP, eConcession.
