Introduction

An opportunity has arisen for an HR Advisor to join the Cicor Newport team and will report directly into the HR Manager. This is an internally facing role, involving playing an integral part in employee relations and working at an operational level whilst driving business initiatives.

 

Key Responsibilities

Support the HR Manager taking ‘lead’ responsibility for specific areas

 

  • Management and execution of the payroll process.
  • Proactive support on the delivery of the HR processes.
  • Ensure that Managers and staff are aware of HR policies and procedures and able to operate them effectively.
  • Provide support and guidance to Managers on HR and organisation development issues.
  • Monitor and advise on absence management.
  • Manage the recruitment process.
  • Liaise with an Occupational Health Advisor for medical examinations and health screening, as part of a wellbeing programme.
  • Conduct new employee inductions and onboarding.
  • Support the sites Employee Engagement activities including employee recognition awards and events.
  • Support the HR Manager in changes in terms and conditions of employment and benefits for individual employees.
  • Assist the HR Manager with routine administrative duties, including acting as first point of contact for department.
  • To carry out any other duties that may be deemed necessary for the efficient running of the HR Department.

Core Requirements

  • CIPD qualified or working towards.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office Skills - word, excel, power-point and teams. 
  • Strong employee relations and recruitment background.
  • Ability to manage workload and prioritise. 
  • Ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

 

Desireable Skills and Experience

  • Experience in a Manufacturing Environment.
  • Knowledgeable in supporting training and development activities.
  • Experience with STEM and Apprenticeship activities.
  • Payroll experience

Our Recruitment Process:

  • Shortlisted candidates will be initially interviewed via Microsoft Teams. This will allow you the opportunity to ask questions and find out more about TT, our site and our team. It will also give us the chance to learn more about you and your experience to date. At this point both parties can decide if they would like to continue with the process.
  • Onsite panel interview will be held at the Newport site and include a tour of the facility.

Due to the specific projects the site supports we are unable to sponsor work visas for this role. Candidates will be required to achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard Clearance.

 

Successful candidates will be required to undertake pre and during employment drug and alcohol testing.
