About Learning and Development and Your Role

The divisional L&D partner will deliver a leading L&D programme suited to the specific needs of the division. They will be implementing learning interventions in all layers of the division, from new starters to our manager population, to high performers, to ensure a robust L&D offering which provides personal development opportunities, is rooted in business need, and is measured in line with business performance metrics. This is a stand-alone role and will require a balance between working strategically (for example, when diagnosing skills gaps and proposing learning initiatives to bridge the gaps) and having a hands-on approach (for example, scheduling, arranging and directly delivering on-site learning initiatives).

Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with management and the divisional People team, diagnose and understand the divisional skills gaps and learning needs.
  • Develop a divisional learning and development plan that will address the identified skills gaps and learning needs.
  • Deliver the approved divisional learning and development plan by planning, designing, and facilitating learning interventions and related materials and resources.
  • Plan, design, and deliver an engaging and sustainable leadership development programme in alignment with the divisional learning and development plan.
  • Develop and deliver career progression programs and succession plans to support the growth and advancement of managers and colleagues.
  • Plan, design, and deliver our future talent programme, including internal talent and external hires.
  • Utilise blended learning solutions including classroom training, experiential learning, and e-learning on a digital platform.
  • Assess and evaluate learning interventions, using insights from data to drive continuous improvement in the quality and effectiveness of the learning interventions.
  • Responsible for all aspects of arranging learning initiatives including scheduling, sending communication and invitations, creating the learning materials, and ensuring that all relevant resources are available.
  • Create performance development tools and be responsible to manage and monitor the application of the tools.
  • Act as an internal coach providing guidance to line managers on best practices and the effective use of learning and development resources and performance development processes.
  • Ownership of the L&D Hub, ensuring learners can effectively access L&D resources and is an effective L&D engagement and communication forum.
  • Manage and drive learning and development projects including the implementation of central initiatives such as a mentorship scheme and coaching tools in the division.
  • Maintain appropriate records of learning interventions including attendance, results of course evaluation and skills development.
  • Create and distribute relevant reporting.
  • Work closely with other L&D partners to share knowledge and promote best practices across divisions.

Skills Requirements :

  • Proficiency and experience in designing, delivering, and evaluating learning solutions including leadership development programs.
  • Proficiency and experience in designing learning interventions using a range of methods, including e-learning and classroom-based training.
  • Strong coaching and facilitation skills
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Ability to build effective relationships with key stakeholders.
  • L&D Qualification level 5 desired, or a willingness to work towards this.
  • Flexibility to work on occasional evenings and weekends in alignment to the site working patterns.
  • Ability and willingness to travel between and work in all locations associated with the division.
