Key Responsibilities in this Managing Director job

Inspire Leadership: Lead and coach the senior management team, fostering a vibrant company culture.

Strategic Decision-Making: Make high-level decisions about policies and strategies to guide growth.

Operational Excellence: Develop and implement operational policies and strategic plans.

Clear Direction: Translate strategy into actionable short-, medium- and long-term plans, clarifying roles and expectations for all employees.

Growth-Oriented Structure: Design the organizational structure and staffing needs for growth and profitability.

Quality Vision: Cultivate a “Quality First” company vision, ensuring excellence at every stage of operations.

Positive Environment: Promote a culture of great performance and positive morale with effective communication.

Performance Management: Review company and individual performance, initiating corrective actions when necessary.

Change Management: Develop tactics to overcome resistance and ensure buy-in for changes.

Fiscal Oversight: Oversee budgeting, reporting, and auditing activities.

Board Reporting: Keep the board of directors informed with regular updates.

Supplier Relations: Oversee major supplier negotiations.

Stakeholder Engagement: Develop relationships with key customers, prospects, suppliers, regulatory authorities, and the local community.

Primary Spokesperson: Act as the face of the company.

Qualifications required for this Managing Director job

Education: Degree in Engineering, Physics, Material Science, or related STEM subject.

Experience: Extensive expertise developed in a manufacturing management or a similar industrial setting. Proven knowledge developed in commercial areas such as sales of technical equipment and export control.

Skills: Ability to read and interpret technical documents, excellent communication skills, data analysis, IT proficiency, and strong presentation skills.

Personal Qualities: Strong leadership, strategic mindset, problem-solving skills, excellent organization, dynamic and positive attitude, ability to work efficiently under pressure, willingness to learn and adapt, and effective communication at all levels.
