Job Description - Manufacturing (Temporary)

W Talent Manufacturing are supporting a market leading manufacturing company based in Nottinghamshire. This business is dedicated to delivering high-quality technical products to various industries and are now needing to find a Head of Manufacturing to join their senior leadership team. Our customer are committed to innovation and strive to maintain to be at the forefront of their industry whilst ensuring sustainable and ethical practices in all aspects of their operations. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Manufacturing with a strong background in driving production initiatives and behavioural change. This is a brand-new role for the business with the successful candidate playing a pivotal role in driving operational excellence and ensuring alignment with production targets. We are looking for a rounded manufacturing manager with a proven track record in production leadership, operations management, continuous improvement, and stakeholder engagement. The role requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and a deep understanding of manufacturing processes. The Head of Manufacturing plays an integral part in overseeing all production deliverables and reporting into the GM on site, they also will be responsible for: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in all manufacturing operations. Provide effective leadership to manufacturing teams, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation. Identify talent gaps and develop training programs to enhance the skills and capabilities of manufacturing personnel. Identify areas for process improvement to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and streamline operations. Foster a culture of continuous improvement among manufacturing teams through training, feedback, and empowerment. Establish and enforce stringent quality control measures to uphold product quality and meet regulatory standards. Collaborate with quality assurance teams to investigate and resolve any deviations or non-conformities promptly. Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure timely replenishment of raw materials and components. Bachelor's degree in a Engineering/Technical discipline or related field Proven track record of at least 5 years in a similar role within a highly technical or complex manufacturing industry A proven track record in process manufacturing would be highly advantageous A NEBOSH qualification would be highly advantageous Expertise in continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, etc. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify opportunities for improvement Competitive salary Benefits package Opportunities for career growth and development with in the group Opportunity to make a difference in the growth of the facility #
