ATA Recruitment are closely working with a leading global engineering consultancy who are looking to hire a dynamic Mechanical Engineer. Founded in 1960 our client has grown to become one of the World’s leading product design and development consultancies working with leading brands such as Bentley, GSK, Reckitt, Hitachi, and Rolls-Royce to develop state of the art technological designs and innovations.

Working within a range of sectors and not limited to Commercial & Industrial, Consumer, Transport and Medical & Scientific, they have accumulated 3,900 patent applications worldwide since 2000. Our client has a vibrant fusion of over 140 individuals with varied disciplines including Designers, Mechanical Engineers, Electronic Engineers, Strategist, Project Managers, and Prototyping Engineers all collaborating to find innovative solutions for customers.

This will be a perfect role for a Mechanical Engineer who is passionate about innovation, engineering and creating new boundaries, you will have the opportunity to work with like-minded experts who are trained in a wide range of structured creative processes and techniques to help deliver successful solutions.

The Role:

As a Mechanical Engineer you will work on a diverse range of exciting and challenging projects, from well – known consumer goods, novel transport solutions to safety critical medical devices, integrating with a multi-functional project team.

The Mechanical Engineer’s key responsibilities will be to:

• Generate innovative solutions to complex problems.
• Assimilate new information and learn new skills in a dynamic, consultancy environment.
• Take responsibility for technical work.
• Apply Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) tools and computational techniques.
• Lead specific work packages.
• Guide, support and check the work of more junior members.
• Be passionate about creating and delivering new products.

The Candidate:

To be successful in your application for the Mechanical Engineer role you will need:

• A 1 st or Upper 2 nd degree in mechanical engineering.
• Experience in product design or development.
• Experience with computer aided engineering (CAE)
• Passion for product development and engineering.
• The ability to collaborate and work closely within a multi-functional team.
