Job Description - MIG Welder

Exciting new opportunities available in Warrington!

Due to a huge increase in work, our client who is a leading manufacturer of cable management systems, is looking to recruit & add experienced MIG Welders to their dedicated & committed team.

Working in a busy production team, the ideal candidates will be responsible for;

  • manufacturing a range of standard & non-standard products to drawings
  • ensuring a high standard of work
  • Ensuring order deadlines are met
  • Working under minimal supervision

General duties:

  • Setting up the components & equipment for the welding process as per Job Card
  • Preparing materials and setting up jigs to ensure safe and effective assembly
  • Interpreting specifications and drawings accurately , to ensure product is within specification and within tolerance
  • MIG welding Mild and Stainless Steel
  • Housekeeping – Clean As You Go
  • Working knowledge of 5’s (would be advantages but not essential)

Key Skills:

  • Ability to r ead drawings.
  • Be a quick learner and have a positive attitude to work, colleagues and management at all time
  • Dexterity and practical skills, along with being a clear, logical thinker
  • Be computer literate and proficient with IT systems within a manufacturing environment
  • An individual who is highly motivated and energetic
  • Ability to communicate well at all levels
  • The ability to keep track of key information – attention to detail is essential
  • Tenacity to seek out information and correct answers

The working hours are 0700 - 1600 Monday to Thursday & 0700 -1200 on a Friday.

An immediate start is available after successful interview & weld test.

These opportunities could lead to full time after a successful qualifying period.
