Job Description

• Overseeing procurement/Purchasing Operational activities Including Supply Chain management Operations.
• Developing and executing effective purchasing strategies.
• Managing relationships and negotiations with key suppliers.
• Identifying opportunities for cost savings in the procurement process.
• Ensuring compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
• Conducting market research to keep abreast of trends in the Life Science industry.
• Managing and developing the procurement team.
• Collaborating with other departments to ensure business objectives are met.
• The role is a Purchasing Ops Manager. it is quite an operational procurement and systems biased role covering all elements of site procurement for this large manufacturing organisation

The Successful Applicant

A successful Purchasing Manager should have:

• An academic background in Business, Supply Chain Management or related fields.
• Experience in procurement and supply chain management in the Life Science industry.
• Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
• Knowledge of procurement software and tools.
• Leadership skills with the ability to develop and manage a team.
• Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
