Content Marketer

What you’ll do: Embedded in an agile squad, you’ll be responsible for owning the UX copy on the global TV interface projects you’ll work on – from the discovery phase through to delivery In your squad you’ll collaborate with designers, researchers, legal, product and developers – as well as work with the UX Copy team – to drive clear, inclusive and meaningful copy solutions that centre around customer needs You’ll demonstrate an ability to come up with innovative ideas and solve problems creatively for technical concepts You’ll drive customer research so you can make insight-driven copy decisions Maintain an efficient copy delivery process and be able to provide regular updates to stakeholders whilst delivering to schedule The need to constantly evolve or create new customer experiences will always be at the forefront of everything you do, all whilst championing inclusive design You’ll help the team to champion the value of UX copy practices across the wider business, plus contribute to keeping the digital lexicon and style guide up to date What you’ll bring: Over 5 years’ experience in writing and refining content for a consumer-facing digital product, service, website or app. This could be as a UX writer, content designer or content strategist, but if you have other writing or UX experience that suits this role, we'd love to hear from you A strong portfolio of work that shows how you work with others, your thought process and, of course, examples of your UX writing skills Excellent written and creativity skills – you need to believe in the power of words, know their rules, but also know when you should break them Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to clearly convey copy decisions to different delivery skillsets The ability to consistently uphold the UX Copy team’s principles, style guide and templates, and be able to balance these with brand guidelines and product KPIs, combined with the knowledge of how to drive consistent on product language to ensure a cohesive narrative and ecosystem Strong attention-to-detail to devise clear, simple and consistent experiences The ability to work on multiple projects at a time You'll be: A proactive team player who can self-direct to meet tight delivery deadlines Have a desire to design for all with your inclusive design approach Have a willingness to get stuck in with our close-knit UX Copy team who enjoy debating when to use an en dash and when to use an em dash, but also enjoy getting together over team lunches and socials Typically experience developing information architecture for complex documentation sets or product suites, including localization and accessibility best practices. Not essential but preferred: Experience working as part of a multi-disciplinary agile squad, ideally in a cross-functional technology organisation A qualification in English, communications, journalism, technical writing, publishing, marketing, anthropology, advertising or demonstrable equivalent experience Knowledge of how to write screen reader scripts An understanding of content localisation best practices Background in writing user interface copy for TV Proficiency with tools/software such as Figma, Jira, Asana, Miro and Confluence Not essential but desirable: Written proficiency in either German, Italian or Spanish Proficiency in localisation tools, such as Lokalise
