Description

Alternative Heat specialise within the Decarbonisation and Offsite Prefabrication sectors throughout Ireland, the UK and mainland Europe. Following continued strong growth, the company has an annual turnover in excess of £60m and is a market leader within its core market sectors.

In line with this growth, Alternative Heat are recruiting for a Marketing Manager to lead on company-wide marketing initiatives from concept to completion, whilst providing direction, training and leadership to our existing marketing team.

Role

The Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing, leading and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy for the company as we continue to grow and expand across key sectors in key regions. They will be responsible for managing and developing the wider marketing team, ensuring the execution of marketing targets and objectives.

Experience

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Marketing, Communications or Advertising, with a minimum 5years’ experience in a marketing role and a minimum 2 years’ experience in a management role. They will have demonstrated experience in leading, creating and executing marketing and branding initiatives from concept to completion, with experience in both digital and print media. They will be a creative thinker, with excellent organisation and communication skills, both written and oral, with thoroughness, accuracy, and an eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, lead and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy for the company, our solutions and our products;
  • Provide direction, training and leadership to the Marketing team while managing the workload and delivery of marketing targets and objectives;
  • Collaborate with internal teams and senior management to align marketing initiatives with business objectives;
  • Manage third party creative agencies and maintain strong relationships to leverage expertise and resources where required;
  • Identify ways to grow the marketing department and secure resources where required;
  • Oversee all social media planning and execution, working with the marketing team to effectively manage the input for and execution of all marketing initiatives;
  • Manage the update of existing and creation of new marketing materials, sales literature, and advertising collateral;
  • Manage the upkeep and updating of the company website, ensuring regular SEO;
  • Oversee the copy writing and proof reading of all marketing literature;
  • Measure and analyse the effectiveness of marketing activities, refining and optimising these based on data and feedback;
  • Effectively manage marketing budget, providing regular updates and reports on departmental performance;
  • Provide direction and support for and, where required, manage internal and external company events to include exhibitions; team building events; recruitment fairs etc.;
  • Oversee the creation and execution of effective employee communications, engaging with the marketing team to plan and execute via our company intranet;
  • Assist and provide input to our HR and Talent Acquisition teams for recruitment, staff retention and employer branding initiatives and events;
  • Propose and implement new marketing ideas and initiatives that will help to strengthen brand awareness and assist with sales, recruitment and staff retention;
  • Lead on company-wide marketing initiatives from conception through to completion, delivering these on time and within budget, while managing and developing the wider marketing team.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Essential Crtieria:

  • Degree in Marketing, Communications or Advertising;
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a marketing role, with a minimum 2 years’ experience in a management role;
  • Demonstrated experience in leading, creating and executing marketing and branding initiatives from concept to completion;
  • Experience with both digital and print media to include social media, print advertising, brochure creation and email marketing;
  • Experience with marketing tools and software packages to include but not limited to Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, Hootsuite, WordPress, Mailchimp or similar;
  • Strong IT skills including proficiency in Microsoft Packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
  • Experience in updating and management of websites and SEO;
  • Experience in setting out and leading the day-to-day duties and responsibilities of a marketing team, while also managing larger ad hoc projects;
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills, both written and oral, with thoroughness, accuracy, and an eye for detail;
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering innovative marketing solutions;
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
  • A proactive, results-oriented mindset with a passion for driving business growth.
