1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant – ASD – NG3
£100–£105 per day | Full-time | September start
Class Mate is recruiting for a 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) at a primary school in NG3.
You’ll provide consistent individual support, helping the pupil access learning, develop independence and feel confident within the classroom.
The Role
* Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with ASD
* Support access to classroom learning and activities
* Use appropriate strategies to support communication and engagement
* Help promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation
* Adapt activities to meet individual needs
* Work closely with the class teacher and SEND team
We’re Looking For
* Experience supporting children with SEND
* Experience with ASD is desirable
* Understanding of individualised support strategies
* Patient, consistent and nurturing approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
