1:1 Teaching Assistant

EduTalent Group are supporting a primary school in Deal who are recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 SEMH support for a Key Stage 2 pupil in Year 5, with an immediate start available.

This is a full -time role, working Monday to Friday until the end of the academic year. The successful candidate will join a supportive and inclusive primary setting, working closely with a KS2 pupil who requires consistent emotional and behavioural support throughout the school day.

Job Description

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a KS2 (Year 5) pupil with SEMH needs
  
• Support emotional regulation, behaviour and engagement in learning
  
• Build a trusting and consistent relationship with the pupil
  
• Assist the class teacher in delivering accessible learning activities
  
• Encourage positive behaviour and reinforce school routines
  
• Support social development and independence skills
  
• Help maintain a calm, safe and inclusive classroom environment
  
• Work closely with teaching staff and SEN leadership to follow individual support plans
