1:1 Teaching Assistant – Year 2 – Behaviour Support

£100–£110 per day | Full-time | September start | DE21

Class Mate is recruiting for a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a lively Year 2 pupil at a primary school in DE21. This role would suit a resilient, energetic practitioner who is confident supporting behaviour and can build a positive relationship with a pupil who needs consistent encouragement to stay focused and engaged.

The Role

* Provide dedicated 1:1 support throughout the school day

* Help the pupil remain focused and access the Year 2 curriculum

* Use positive strategies to support behaviour, engagement and regulation

* Encourage independence and positive relationships

* Support the pupil during transitions and less structured times

* Work closely with the class teacher and wider school team

* Support access to enhanced provision where appropriate and agreed with the TA and school

We're Looking For

* Experience supporting children in a primary school setting

* Experience with behaviour support is desirable

* Resilient, energetic and patient approach

* Confident setting clear and consistent boundaries

* Able to stay calm and positive in a busy environment

* Willing to get involved and build a strong relationship with the pupil

* Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
