Tradewind Recruitment are working in partnership with a vibrant and inclusive two-form entry primary school in Oldham to recruit a dedicated KS2 Teaching Assistant for a 1:1 support role starting in September 2025.

This welcoming school, with over 400 pupils on roll, celebrates its rich cultural diversity and holds high expectations for all learners. Recent KS2 SATs results show outstanding outcomes, with pupils achieving between 6% and 15% above the national average across all subjects. The school is proud of its nurturing environment and strong focus on pupil development.

We are seeking a compassionate and proactive teaching assistant to support a Year 3 pupil with social and emotional needs.

• The pupil occasionally exhibits low-level challenging behaviour but generally responds well to routine and positive reinforcement.

• While the pupil requires some 1:1 support, you will also be expected to contribute to general class-based TA responsibilities.

• This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant or a graduate considering a future in education, psychology, or SEN.

• Provide tailored 1:1 support, ensuring the pupil's well-being and engagement in learning

• Assist in the implementation of the pupil's Individual Education Plan (IEP) and behaviour strategies

• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt lessons to meet the child's needs

• Promote positive social interaction with peers and support inclusion within the classroom

• Build strong relationships with parents/carers and provide regular progress updates

• Work in a supportive school environment with a strong leadership team
