As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with an individual pupil (or occasionally a small group), providing personalised support to help them overcome academic, social, or emotional barriers to learning.
Key Responsibilities:
Tailored Support: Provide one-to-one assistance based on the student's individual learning needs - whether academic, emotional, or behavioural. Facilitate Learning: Support lessons by adapting activities and materials, ensuring the pupil remains engaged and able to access the curriculum. Track Progress: Monitor and record the pupil's academic and personal development, sharing insights with the class teacher and SENCO. Promote Wellbeing: Create a nurturing and supportive environment that helps build confidence, independence, and social skills. Collaborate: Work closely with teachers, the SEN team, and parents to implement effective learning strategies and interventions.
