Regional Recruitment are recruiting for experienced Fire Door Installers to join a professional and growing construction services company. This is a site-based role requiring reliable, skilled individuals who can work independently and as part of a wider team. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, inspecting, and repairing fire doors at client sites in and around Watford, while maintaining high standards of safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications
Essential:
Proven experience installing and/or maintaining fire doors Knowledge of fire door regulations, installation standards, and safe working practices Relevant fire door installation or carpentry experience Enhanced DBS check – essential Ability to provide relevant identification and right-to-work documentation Good communication skills and a professional approach CSCS card or relevant construction site qualification Desirable:
• Fire Door Inspection or Fire Door Maintenance qualifications
• BM TRADA or equivalent fire door training
• Asbestos awareness and other relevant site certifications
Roles & Responsibilities
Install fire doors, frames, seals, hinges, closers, and associated ironmongery in line with manufacturer instructions and relevant standards. Inspect existing fire doors and identify defects, damage, or compliance issues Carry out repairs, adjustments, and remedial works efficiently and to a high standard Complete work safely, taking all necessary precautions to prevent danger and avoid injury • Liaise with supervisors and site contacts regarding work schedules and daily activities
• Communicate effectively with staff, customers, and other contractors
• Maintain excellent timekeeping and attend scheduled jobs as required
• Maintain a professional appearance and comply fully with company and site requirements
• Be flexible and willing to travel to sites in and around Watford when required
• Complete paperwork, inspection records, and job sheets accurately and on time
• Undertake any other ad-hoc duties as directed by the company

As a Fire Door Installer, you will also be expected to:
• Work to a high standard of quality, accuracy, and attention to detail
• Follow all site rules, company procedures, and fire safety requirements
• Ensure all documentation is completed and submitted in the correct format
• Demonstrate reliability, flexibility, and a positive attitude
