1st - 3rd Line Support Engineer - MSP Background | Microsoft & Azure

Are you a passionate IT Support Engineer with a background in Managed Service Providers (MSP). We are seeking a dynamic 1st – 3rd Line Support Engineer to join our growing technical team. You’ll be responsible for providing high-quality support to a diverse range of clients, working across Microsoft ecosystems including Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and Azure.

This is a hands-on role with exposure to a wide range of technologies and the opportunity to work on project deployments, escalations, and long-term client solutions. You’ll be supporting multiple environments, making this an exciting challenge for someone who enjoys variety and problem-solving.

*Largely remote - preferably candidates should live within Essex / Suffolk*

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1st to 3rd line support across client systems (remote and on-site).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, Microsoft 365, and Azure environments.
  • Assist in onboarding new clients, setting up infrastructure, and maintaining best practices.
  • Work closely with internal teams and clients to manage tickets, incidents, and escalations effectively.
  • Participate in projects including server migrations, cloud transitions, and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of client environments and support processes.
Key Skills & Experience:
  • Proven experience in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) or IT Service Provider environment is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including: Windows Server (2012–2022), Active Directory & Group Policy, Microsoft 365 administration
  • Azure (IaaS, identity, networking, etc.)
  • Experience with DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and networking fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with remote monitoring and management (RMM) tools.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and time management skills.
Certifications Required:
  • Microsoft Certified: e.g., Microsoft 365 Certified, Azure Administrator Associate, or equivalent.
