We're recruiting for a Technical Support Engineer to join one of the UK's leading manufacturers of automatic gates, traffic barriers, access control systems, automatic doors and entrance automation.
Please note: This is not an IT Helpdesk position. We're looking for engineers with an electrical, electronic, automation or electro-mechanical background.
The Role:
As a Technical Support Engineer, you'll become the first point of contact for installers, engineers and customers across the UK, helping them resolve technical issues and get the very best from the company's products. Every day is different. One minute you'll be helping an engineer diagnose a fault remotely, the next you'll be advising on product selection, programming an automated gate system or identifying replacement components. You'll receive comprehensive product training and work alongside an experienced technical team until you're confident across the full product range.
Typical Responsibilities Providing first-line technical support via telephone and email Diagnosing electrical and electronic faults Supporting engineers with installation and commissioning Assisting with programming and configuration Advising customers on the correct products and applications Identifying spare parts and replacement components Escalating more complex engineering issues where required Building long-term technical expertise across a specialist product rangeThis Could Be Perfect For You If You Are...
