2nd Line Support Engineer – UK Remote – £40k

Remote Working | Progression into QA Testing & Automation | Private Medical Insurance | SC Clearance Eligibility Required

Ada Meher is currently working with a scaling SaaS vendor as they look to recruit a 2nd Line Support Engineer to work with their QA and Support team and progress into a QA Testing role, eventually mastering Automation testing. The role will initially involve working on technical support both on the phones and live chat but also knowledge sharing with the QAs in the team and learning Manual testing and then, further down the line, Automation testing. Due to nature of the business this role would suit someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment and is ambitious and career-focused.

This role would suit someone who is self-driven and ambitious enough to work independently as well as take advantage of the resources and expertise made available to them internally to aide their personal development. This is a real focus for the client and every member of staff has their own personal development plan.

Due to this self-started culture the business works with flexibility at its core and it happy to allow the team to work mainly remotely. They also offer flexibility in hours, to ensure that employees are able to make the job work around their other life commitments.

To Be Considered…
  • Prior experience in a 2nd Line Support role
  • Experience with Troubleshooting System issues
  • Experience handling and escalating JIRA tickets
  • Strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum practices
  • Any prior testing experience would be a benefit

Please note, the client does a lot of work in the public sector, so applicants but be eligible for Security Clearance. This requires you to have been a resident of the UK for the last 5 years, without a continuous absence of over 28 days, and have a clean DBS. Unfortunately, applicants who are not eligible for this clearance won’t be considered.
