Essential Requirements / Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
• Proven experience in a responsible mechanical engineering role
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and design processes
• Proficiency with CAD and engineering IT tools (e.g., Excel, Word, Mathcad, PDM, PLM)
• Ability to interpret and produce engineering drawings and specifications
• Experience managing project timescales and delivering to deadlines

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and design bespoke mechanical products ensuring compliance with client, legislative, and HSE requirements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and refine customer requirements
• Generate concept designs, detail drawings, and engineering calculations
• Identify and manage risks and opportunities during the design process
• Present designs and progress at reviews and support R&D activities
• Carry out site surveys when required
• Provide engineering support across departments and liaise with customers and suppliers
• Maintain professional engineering standards and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
