3.5 Tonne Driver (Class 2 or C1 or C)who has excellent time-management, customer service and communication skills is required to drive and operate a specialist vacuum tanker to and from a number of sites in and around London and the Home Counties.

NO PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED - FULL TRAINING PROVIDED

Previous industry experience would be great. But if not, full training will be provided. However, you will need a Class 2 or C1 or C Driving Licence

SALARY: £30,000 per annum

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a 3.5 Tonne Driver (Class 2 or C1 or C)who has excellent time-management, customer service and communication skills is required to drive and operate a specialist vacuum tanker.

Working as the 3.5 Tonne Driver (Class 2 or C1 or C) you will drive and operate a specialist vacuum tanker which is designed to be a clean and straightforward process, and comprehensive training will be provided to ensure you are fully confident in all aspects of the role.

As the 3.5 Tonne Driver (Class 2 or C1 or C) your duties will primarily involve using the tanker to efficiently and hygienically empty holding tanks, welfare units, septic tanks, and wastewater treatment plants, and the company’s thorough training program will cover every step of this specialist operation.

As a successful candidate you will need a good level of fitness and be able to complete manual handling tasks too.

DUTIES

Your duties include:

• Safely and efficiently operate a 3.5 Tonne vehicle equipped with a vacuum tanker system (additional training provided)

• Empty waste holding tanks, welfare units, chemical toilets, and water tanks at customer sites

• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with relevant health and safety regulations and environmental guidelines

• Maintain accurate records of all work carried out, including waste volumes and customer information

• Perform daily vehicle checks and ensure the vehicle is kept clean and in good working order

• Provide excellent customer service to all clients

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Valid UK Driving Licence (Class 2 or category C1 or C) with a clean driving record

• Excellent driving and manoeuvring skills, particularly in confined spaces

• Strong understanding of road safety regulations

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Physically fit and able to lift and carry heavy equipment

• Excellent time management and organisational skills

• Customer service-oriented approach

• Must have your own vehicle and mobile phone

DESIRABLE

• Experience with operating vacuum tanker systems (desirable but not essential)

• Experience with towing trailers (desirable but not essential)

• Proven experience as a 7.5 Tonne Driver, preferably within the waste management or similar industry (desirable but not essential)
