Job Description - 3rd Line Support Engineer

We are supporting an awesome business in Glasgow looking for a 3rd Line Support Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for resolving complex technical issues, implementing system enhancements, and ensuring the stability and security of our IT environment.

Business offer Hybrid working (3/2) in Glasgow.
Business dont have the facility to offer VISA support.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide expert-level support and administration for Microsoft technologies including Azure AD, Intune, Office 365, Entra, Exchange, and SharePoint.
Manage and troubleshoot infrastructure components such as networking, server platforms, storage, application structures (2-tier, 3-tier), identity management, and security (encryption, PKI).
Administer and troubleshoot within Office 365, Azure, Active Directory, Intune, and Entra environments.
Handle a large application estate running IIS & SQL, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
Utilise configuration management and application management & monitoring tools to manage infrastructure estates effectively.
Lead and execute workload migrations to cloud platforms with a strong focus on automation and efficiency.
Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation tasks and operational efficiency.
Provide configuration and support for MS Windows Server environments.
Utilise virtualisation skills with VMware vSphere, Proxmox, and Hyper-V to optimize server resources and performance.

Requirements:

Experience in IT support and delivery.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying issues and implementing solutions.
Strong experience in PowerShell scripting and automation.
Solid understanding and experience with MS Windows Server configuration and support.
Expertise in virtualisation technologies including VMware vSphere, Proxmox, and Hyper-V.
Demonstrable experience in managing infrastructure components and cloud platforms.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently when required.
