Job Title: 3x Groundworkers (National Grid Substation Projects)
Site Name: Necton 400kV Substation
Location: Necton, Swaffham, Norfolk, PE37 8EG.
Start Date: 15/6/2026
Duration: 6 months+
Pay Rate: £30/hour
Pay Type: CIS

We are currently recruiting for 3 experienced Groundworkers to support ongoing works on National Grid infrastructure projects.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy site team working on major energy and transmission projects, with further opportunities available for the right candidates.

Essential Requirements:

National Grid Persons
HSG47 CAT1 & CAT2 (2-Day Course)
Previous experience working on utility, civils, substation, or infrastructure projects
Strong understanding of safe excavation and underground service avoidance proceduresDuties Will Include:

Using CAT & Genny equipment to locate and mark underground services
Installing ducts and ducting systems
Installing draw pits and rodding eyes
Carrying out concrete remedial works
Laying and levelling chippings
Placing and levelling Type 3 stone
Supporting general civils and groundworks activities as required
Working safely in accordance with site procedures and National Grid standardsDesirable Competencies (Not Essential):

Dumper
Roller
Banksman / Vehicle Marshal
Slinger Signaller
Telehandler
360 Excavator
Confined Space
Any additional National Grid or utility sector certificationsCandidates must be reliable, safety-conscious, and capable of working effectively as part of a busy site team.
