5-Axis CNC Programmer

Trident Recruitment is recruiting a skilled 5-Axis CNC Programmer for a UK-based rapid prototyping and production manufacturing company in Slough. Working across mechanical and electronic design through to manufacturing, the business offers varied projects and technically challenging components.

The Role

*

Produce CAD/CAM programs for 5-axis CNC machining.

*

Work from engineering drawings and CAD models to manufacture precision components.

*

Develop machining strategies for prototype and production work.

*

Select tooling and optimise programs for accuracy, quality and efficiency.

*

Support setting, prove-outs and troubleshooting on the shop floor.

What We’re Looking For

*

Experience programming 5-axis CNC machines.

*

CAD/CAM programming experience is essential.

*

Fusion 360 knowledge would be beneficial.

*

Knowledge of Haas machines, gained through milling or turning.

*

Ability to interpret engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances.

*

A practical approach to problem-solving and strong attention to detail.
