6 x Groundworkers

GROUNDWORKERS REQUIRED (x6) - WIGAN

Contract: 15th July 2026 - 25th September 2026

We are currently recruiting a squad of 6 experienced Groundworkers for a commercial development in the Wigan area.

Contract Details

Start Date: Wednesday, 15th July 2026

End Date: Friday, 25th September 2026 (approx. 10 weeks of guaranteed work)

Hours: Approx 50 hours per week

Rate: £19.48 per hour CIS

Key Duties

Deep drainage, pipe laying, and ducting.

Slab laying, kerbing, edging, and concrete works.

Assisting machine operators with general ground preparation and excavation.

Upholding strict site health and safety standards.

Requirements

Qualifications: Blue CPCS card is highly preferred (specifically dumper/roller tickets), but a valid CSCS Card is acceptable for skilled groundworkers.

Experience: Proven track record in commercial or civil groundworks (references will be requested).

PPE: Full orange or yellow 5-point PPE required.

Reliability: Must be punctual, hardworking, and able to work well as part of a squad.
