7.5 Tonne Driver  – Temp to Perm 

Are you an experienced 7.5 Tonne Driver looking for a stable Monday to Friday role with great hours and excellent benefits? We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established Northampton-based business that supplies metal products to customers across the local area. 
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing company with the potential of a permanent position following a successful temporary period. 

Salary & Benefits 

£16.00 per hour
Quarterly bonus scheme
Monday to Friday working pattern
Typical hours: 6:00am – 3:00pm/3:30pm
20 days holiday plus Bank Holidays

Deliver steel and metal products to local customers using a 7.5 tonne vehicle 
Complete deliveries safely, efficiently, and on time 
Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects 
Ensure goods are loaded and secured correctly for transport 
Maintain delivery paperwork and obtain customer signatures where required 
Provide a professional and courteous service to customers 
Adhere to all transport, health & safety, and company procedures Please note: There is very minimal handballing involved with this role. 

Requirements 

Valid Category C1 (7.5 Tonne) driving licence 
Valid Driver CPC qualification 
Digital Tachograph card 
Up to 6 penalty points accepted 
No major driving endorsements or disqualifications 
Previous multi-drop or delivery driving experience preferred 
Good knowledge of the local area 
Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious approach
