Job Description - 7.5t Bulky Waste Driver

5 months contract with a local authority

Rate: Â£20.58/HR Umbrella

Summary

This is a 5-month contract opportunity with a local authority, offering a rate of Â£20.58 per hour via an umbrella company. The role involves delivering a dependable bulky waste collection service for the Council. The successful candidate will be part of a two-person team responsible for collecting non-food household waste items, such as furniture and white goods, booked through the Council's website. The position requires adherence to health and safety standards while maintaining excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

Collect bulky household waste from residential properties within the borough.

Load and transport items including furniture, white goods, and other large household waste.

Collaborate effectively as part of a two-person collection crew.

Complete collections according to daily schedules and service standards.

Ensure proper transportation and disposal of waste.

Requirements:

Experience in manual handling or physical outdoor work.

Ability to work efficiently as part of a team.

Strong understanding of health and safety procedures.

Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.

Proven experience in delivering excellent customer service.

Essential Qualifications

Proficiency in literacy and numeracy.

Capability to perform physically demanding tasks.

Possession of a full UK Driving Licence.

Additional Information

Working hours are 37 hours per week.

Payments are made on a bi-weekly schedule.
