NextGen Teachers are working with a secondary school based in Leeds who are seeking a skilled and committed Chemistry Teacher to join their dynamic Science faculty. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a supportive team and deliver high-quality teaching in a well-resourced and forward-thinking department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging Chemistry lessons to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. A strong subject knowledge and a passion for developing students' scientific understanding is essential, especially at A Level where you will be preparing students for university and STEM-related careers.

Responsibilities

• Teach Chemistry to KS3, KS4, and A Level
• Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with the curriculum
• Deliver practical science safely and effectively using laboratory resources
• Support student progress through high-quality feedback and intervention
• Contribute to the wider life of the school, including enrichment and science events

• A recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, QTS/QTLS)
• A degree in Chemistry or a closely related subject
• Proven experience teaching A Level Chemistry
• Strong classroom management skills and high expectations of students
• Commitment to continued professional development and collaborative working
• An enhanced child and adult DBS on the update service
• The right to work in the UK
