Looking for an opportunity to gain your AAT Level 4 and gain Accountancy Practice experience?

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented AAT Apprentice/Junior Accountant to join a Chartered Practice based on the outskirts of York. This entry-level position offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in accounting while working towards achieving your AAT qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assisting senior accountants with day-to-day tasks such as bookkeeping, data entry, and invoice processing.
• Supporting in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
• Conducting reconciliations of accounts.
• Learning and utilizing accounting software under supervision.
• Assisting with payroll preparation and processing.
• Providing general administrative support to the accounting department.

Requirements:
• Strong attention to detail and numerical aptitude
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Prior experience in an office environment, preferably in an accounting or finance role (though not required).
• Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage, QuickBooks) is a plus.
