Your New Company A leading property investment and asset management firm with a strong track record of delivering exceptional returns across residential and commercial portfolios is seeking a newly qualified accountant to join their finance team on a 6-month interim basis. This hybrid role, based in central London, offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the dynamic property investment sector.
Your New Role We are looking for a newly qualified ACA accountant making their first move from practice, ideally someone who is immediately available. You'll play a key role in supporting the finance function with responsibilities including:
Supporting the production of year-end accounts, including preparation of financial statement disclosures and technical accounting schedules. Preparation of statutory financial statements in accordance with IFRS, UK GAAP (FRS 102) and relevant regulatory requirements. Assisting with the interpretation and application of IFRS accounting standards, ensuring compliance across financial reporting processes. Liaising with external auditors and responding to audit requests to support the timely completion of statutory audits. Preparing journals, balance sheet reconciliations and supporting documentation for month-end and year-end reporting. Investigating and resolving accounting discrepancies, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. Supporting the month-end and year-end close process, including variance analysis and review of financial information. Preparing working papers and technical accounting documentation to support statutory reporting and audit requirements. Assisting with corporation tax, VAT and other financial compliance obligations. Supporting the implementation of new accounting standards and changes to financial reporting requirements where applicable. What You'll Need to Succeed
Fully qualified ACA accountant with a strong grounding in practice Excellent communication skills to collaborate with asset managers and senior stakeholders Strong attention to detail and ability to resolve reconciliation issues efficiently Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with property or investment accounting systems is advantageous.
