Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 pa

REED is excited to be working in partnership with a well-established property management company to recruit an experienced and proactive Accommodation Manager for one of their residential blocks in Jesmond.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a property professional who thrives in a resident-facing role and is passionate about delivering high standards of service and operational excellence.

The Role:

As the Accommodation Manager, you’ll be responsible for the smooth day-to-day running of a residential block, ensuring the building is safe, well-maintained, and a welcoming place to live. You’ll be the key point of contact for residents and contractors, managing everything from maintenance coordination to tenancy support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the operational management of the residential block, including communal areas and building facilities.
• Act as the first point of contact for residents, handling queries, complaints, and tenancy matters with professionalism and care.
• Manage on-site staff (e.g. cleaners, maintenance teams) and liaise with external contractors.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, fire safety protocols, and building standards.
• Conduct regular inspections and ensure timely resolution of maintenance issues.
• Maintain accurate records of tenancies, occupancy, and building compliance.
• Support community engagement and foster a positive living environment.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience in residential property or accommodation management.
• Strong organisational and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• A proactive, hands-on approach to problem-solving.
• Familiarity with property management systems and Microsoft Office.

Desirable:

• Knowledge of landlord/tenant legislation and leasehold management.
• Experience managing multi-unit residential buildings or build-to-rent schemes.
