Job Description - Account Assistant

The business
We are thrilled to be partnering with a fast-growing business based in South Manchester in search of an Accounts Assistant.
You will be part of busy growing finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong foundation in accounting processes who is looking to develop further within a supportive and growing business.

Role
You play a key role in supporting daily finance operations, including purchase ledger, bank reconciliations, invoice processing, and assisting with month end duties.

Duties include:

Process purchase invoices, ensuring accuracy and appropriate approvals
Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies
Weekly and monthly payment runs
Bank reconciliations
Maintain and update financial records and documentation
Assist with month-end close processes, including accruals and prepayments
Respond to internal and external finance queries professionally
Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers where needed

Person

Previous experience in an account/ finance assistant role
Studying towards finance qualification – AAT/ACCA
Excellent attention to detail
Strong Excel skills
