Job Description - Account Manager

We are seeking a proactive and dedicated Customer Service Representative to join our team. This role involves working closely with the Customer Service Manager and supporting the external sales team. The ideal candidate will provide a professional, effective, and efficient link between customers and internal departments, ensuring a seamless service experience.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Handle initial technical enquiries from customers, including creating and gaining approval of artwork, originating print stereos, technical drawings, and ordering appropriate tooling.
  • Manage enquiries, quotations, origination, order placement, order checking, order acknowledgements, amendments, complaints, stock management, record keeping, and system information updates in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Act as the main liaison for allocated accounts, ensuring customers are kept informed of relevant issues such as delivery problems.
  • Assist in the preparation of tenders and account information as required.
  • Train in the management of accounts to act as holiday/sickness cover.
  • Assist with customer visits and work with customers on their forecasts and future needs.
  • Build relationships with customers and add value to the service provided by understanding and anticipating customer needs.
  • Represent the company professionally, promoting an image of professionalism.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • PC literate with a complete understanding of Microsoft Office; knowledge of SAP and CRM systems would be advantageous.
  • Previous experience in a sales environment is essential.
  • Experience within a manufacturing environment is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Flexible and adaptable attitude with the ability to organise and prioritise workload to meet tight deadlines.
