Account Manager | Publisher Liaison | London | Hybrid | Permanent

Our partner: Our partner is a rapidly growing business operating within the book supply chain, combining retail and wholesale expertise with modern, technology -led systems. With a presence across multiple international markets, they are focused on improving the supply chain: Their approach blends commercial insight and traditional relationship building with automation, creating a more responsive and efficient model that benefits both suppliers and customers.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow relationships with existing publisher accounts, ensuring long -term commercial success.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities, expanding the partner network across key markets.
- Negotiate commercial terms including pricing, margins, and procurement agreements.
- Provide market insight to inform buying, commissioning, and catalogue development strategies.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support the development of data -driven tools and processes.
Experience and skills that will deliver success in this role: You will bring strong commercial and relationship management experience within the publishing or book trade ecosystem. This role requires someone who thrives in a fast -paced, evolving environment and is comfortable taking ownership of both strategy and execution.
Essential:
- Experience in account management, sales, or partnerships within publishing or book -related sectors.
- Strong negotiation skills with a clear understanding of margins and commercial structures.
- Knowledge of publishing processes including pricing, metadata, and distribution models.
- Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships across a wide and varied client network.
Desirable:
- Existing network within the publishing landscape.
- Experience analysing sales data to inform forecasting and decision -making.
- Interest in how technology can improve commercial performance.
