You’ll excel in developing content for purpose-driven clients who are addressing some of the most challenging issues of today including sustainability and inequality. You are media savvy, nurturing relationships with journalists, and you love figuring out how to cut through in a challenging media landscape.
The role involves managing a team of AEs and SAEs and actively contributing to new business proposals as well as driving excellent client work. It’s essential you have a passion for staying on top of current affairs, and a strong interest in business news and financial journalism, as well as the wider media landscape and digital space. You have an instinct for responding creatively to the news agenda and social context, and a strong track record of coming up with ideas that play out across multiple channels.

The job will involve: Being the primary point of contact and providing strategic advice to your clients Gaining a deep understanding of your clients' business and organisational objectives, sector, challenges and opportunities, and competitor landscape Guiding integrated media and content strategies, press office and digital activity Monitoring and responding swiftly to breaking news and developments in your clients' sectors
Continually contributing to Stand's new business and marketing efforts by participating in research, attending networking events, being involved in the pitching process, and developing content to grow Stand’s voice in key sectors Leading a team of AEs and SAEs in day-to-day / week-to-week management of client accounts, including measuring and evaluating comms activity
Managing team members and nurturing their career development Attending client meetings and contributing to creative planning / strategy
Tracking profitability of your accounts, managing teams to improve efficiencies The role will be predominately office based, ideally 3+ days a week
Your experience and skillset: Agency / consultancy experience is ideal Experience in one or more of the following spaces: renewable energy, finance, B2B comms, healthcare, or education
Top notch written and verbal communication skills Experience running or working in a reactive press office
Confident and considered when speaking to, advising, and presenting to clients
An understanding of social media platforms, with a special focus on LinkedIn, and digital media, including paid social and SEO Experience in crafting social media content and creating content calendars Some experience running paid social campaigns (e.g, Meta, LinkedIn) Desirable: an emerging track record of organic growth, and comfort with playing a role in new business opportunities
