Account Manager Energy from Waste Servicing

Astute's Power team is partnering with a leading Energy from Waste company to recruit an Account Manager for its servicing division for a hybrid role, working from home with travel to UK sites as required.

The Account Manager role comes with a starting salary of up to £75,000 + car allowance + benefits.

Responsibilities and duties of the Account Manager role

Reporting to the Group Lead Account Manager you will:

Develop and maintain strong relationships with assigned customers, acting as the primary point of contact for service-related activities.
Drive sales across mechanical retrofit projects, MRO services, spare parts and digital service solutions, identifying opportunities to increase customer share-of-wallet.
Identify and develop new business opportunities through customer visits, presentations, market activity and proactive account development.
Lead contract negotiations and manage service agreements to establish long-term customer partnerships.
Oversee the planning and execution of service projects, including annual outages, shutdowns and overhauls, ensuring delivery to agreed timescales, budgets and quality standards.
Coordinate internal teams, field personnel, subcontractors, technical resources, procurement and logistics to ensure effective project delivery.
Monitor project financial performance, including costs, budgets, revenue forecasting and milestone-based invoicing.
Proactively identify project risks and implement solutions to minimise delays, cost overruns and operational issues.
Ensure all service activities comply with QHSE requirements, company policies and relevant external regulations.
Analyse customer, project and market performance to identify opportunities for continuous improvement, strengthen customer retention and support the achievement of Order Intake, Contribution Margin and Net Sales targets.

Professional qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Process or Electro-Mechanical Engineering, or a Business degree combined with strong technical knowledge.
5+ years' experience in service sales, account management, project management or a similar service-related position, ideally within Power Generation or Waste-to-Energy.
Proven experience coordinating service or project execution, with strong knowledge of outage, shutdown, overhaul or maintenance activities.
Strong commercial experience covering contract management, negotiations, budgeting, cost estimation and revenue forecasting.
Experience working in a matrix organisation with strong knowledge of ERP and project management systems; experience with IFS and Microsoft Office is desirable.
